The Extended Demo was announced in January 2017 as a temporary perk for pre-early access players who had not been part of the alpha testing.[1] The extended demo wasn't supposed to be time limited, but as of 2021 the entire forums seem to be gone.

The extended demo continues past the end of week three, where the original demo ends. It includes week four and most of week five. It also includes bug fixes, new features, new backgrounds and CGs.
